  • The Rotala Macrandra Red, aka Giant Red Rotala, has among the most intense coloration and is a stunning addition to your aquarium.
  • When properly cared for, the Giant Red has great contrast to regular green plants and is suitable along the mid and background of your aquarium.
  • Fast growing; once established, the plant grows quickly and up to 4” per week in ideal conditions.
  • Difficult care plant; it has high light requirements with no shade, needs high phosphates(1.5 - 1.0 ppm), not much nitrate (10ppm or less), and additional Co2 is required.
  • Ships 6-12" tall rooted in cotton which should be removed prior to planting.
